Kalpana Chawla

I woke up to the sad news of the space shuttle disaster. Ever since I visited the Kennedy Space Center, I have revered that place and I was amazed to learn how critical each person’s job there is, and the amount of testing that goes into each launch.

I could see the vehicle lifting off, the day of the launch, from the engineering building at UCF. It was a wonderful sight, in the distance, to the west, there was this inverted red teardrop ascending to the heavens. Everyone around was watching it too, spell bound.

Rediff.com has this story which describes the Chawlas’ story of triumph over hardships. It was really moving, and inspiring.

‘s journal had this article about how abc news had this to say about Chawla. This is not a joke. Someone lost her life in service to humanity and all she gets is a bio mentioning some stupid mistake that she had committed on an earlier mission!

Please use THIS FORM to contact ABC news and request them to change the bio.

TO HELL WITH ABC NEWS, MAY ITS EDITORS ROAST IN HELL.
